Just a hint: for those without English as a mother tongue, here is the actual meaning of "spank bank" . LOL, dbn.
Regarding THS, I have watched the film, both in English and dubbed, bought the DVD, bought the book (which I am reading right now), uploaded the photo gallery to the Church, and downloaded obtained by other means the Original Soundtrack. I have to state that I really loved the film, so I will have to thank again the Pretty for such a revelation.
Mink, you're very welcome. After all the effort taking a look at those pictures and vids again, I was able to put it all together. I'm soo happy that my skills are growing!
And phouse, thanks for such a view for a Friday morning!

Must be some kind of THS revival - I have just watched it for the first time. Well, I have to say - the kissing scene with Jacinda *gasp* is the best ever, I'd venture to say better even than MiSa S1 kiss *ducks under the desk*. Pure spank bank material (BTW, aife thanks for the definitions, I didn't know this expression, strangely enough).

Finally some new Went bits! From People mag:
Quote:WHAT'S THE SILLIEST INJURY YOU'VE EVER HAD? WM: I broke my nose in gym when a ball [hit me]. I took [a girl] to her debutante ball the next week wearing a tux and a big, honking bandage. Not the romantic night she had in mind |

Debutante ball? During HS? In good ole PA?
Btw, it's just a picture of his head cut out from some photo and the quote. If anyone still wants a scan, I can do it when I get home.

Ooh. new info!
Poor Went. I'm sure that's not one of the lets-put-that-on-the-mantle pics.
Thanks Geniass, our local People subscriber.
Unfortunately TV guide was short on PB stuff this week. Sad.

LoL! Thanks for that geniass. Good ol' Wentworth - unwittingly he has been the cause for many a smile today. This, and then at work I was doing mind numbing stuff on excel so I put on all Maichan's sound bites as well as his radio interviews. Thank god for headphones!
Oh and Maichan, those manips are hilarious! Escpecially the punk Went, with his wrinkled up nose. Heh.
ETA Ooh! Just seen the first trailer for Prison Break 2 on our telly - it's coming back on March 6. They were showing clips from the last two episodes of Season 1 and it's putting me in the mood. However, given that it's taken this long to come back on, may I just give thanks for the internet and all enablers?

I know this is from People. Is there an article?
MOD NOTE: Laura, please re-read my post. I specifically mention that it's a "bit." If it were longer, I would have posted it. I am warning you for not properly reading the post. DO NOT DELETE this message.

I'm in the mood for a pic spam. Since we've been talking of THS, and in light of my difficulty with meat-puppetting through the angst, I thought these might be appropriate.
And, yes, Aife, these photos sit comfortably in my spank bank.
For your enjoyment, beloveds :

Those have a very big space in my new acquired spank bank as well dbn (together with the HQ THS of the Pretty). Thank you! And thanks to Geniass for that bit, and Wheelygirl for the links.

Is this choice by any chance to do with my love for a flexible boy?
phouse, how could you think that naked boy was Wentworth for even a second? Am I sensing some wishful thinking? And LMAO at the idea that that pic would be out there and not have been posted her multiple times if it actually was him (even in photoshopped form). Speaking of stuff being posted here...many of the pics on that guy's Wentworth Flickr page look extremely familiar, as in were originally posted here. I'm thinking you found yourself a lurker!
Quote:| Well, I have to say - the kissing scene with Jacinda *gasp* is the best ever, I'd venture to say better even than MiSa S1 kiss |

I have to agree with you. He and Jacinda had great chemistry. And I still don't get what is up with all the hair/shadow/arms covering the action in the PB Michael/Sara kisses. Glad we have past footage to confirm WM's lovely on-screen kissing technique, or I might just be worried.
WG, thanks so much for those downloads. Added to archive! And BTW, I didn't mention it before because I was contemplating not rising to the bait, but honestly, how long was that going to last with me? So...I noticed that OLP is wearing a blue blazer type affair in those ET Canada clips. It's not that clear, but could that be...the YFC jacket? Aaargh! That was supposed to have been sent for a ceremonial burning! However, if it is I shall take it as a personal shoutout to demonstrate exactly how much he cares about my fashion 'advice', i.e. Not At All. Although frankly, Went, that just makes teasing the hell out of you on this topic all the more fun.
ETA: Looking at that clip again, I'm wondering if it's a different blue blazer. I don't see the gold buttons on the sleeves and it seems to kind of fit. Anyone else care to pitch in with an opinion? If it is a new jacket, Went, can you wear it again soon so that I can see if I like it or not and give you a proper opinion. Thanx hon!

Why, no, Mink, I chose it because of your love for a boy with bandaged wrists, of course.

If it is the YFC jacket, maybe it's lined with mink fur1 and he was just really cold. That's what I've chosen to believe about the baseball cap, too, since I can't account for his having paired it with any such formal jacket in any other way.

Thanks for the quote from People, geniass. LMAO These days, I'm sure highschool girls would refuse to be seen at a formal with a guy with a big, honking bandage. So, thanks to that girl, whoever she is, for not traumatizing kid Went for the rest of his life.
mink, the blazer in the ET Canada clip doesn't look like the YFC jacket. He raises his arm a few times and definitely no sign of the flashy buttons near the cuff, or elsewhere on the jacket. But now that you've mentioned it, he's probably rummaging around in his closet. Right. Now.

When I see this photo:
![[image]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v110/DianeJ/ETCanada-21.jpg) I immediately think of Ron Howard and his penchant for wearing baseball caps with...well, everything. And Ron Howard is not an image I want to associate with Wentworth. Ever.
Poor Pretty's nose (I'm putting a hex on the person who threw that ball). And yay for the girl still going with him. I'm sure they had a lovely time at the dance, swaying awkwardly at arm's distance from each other.

Dinamite - huge kudos on the spotting of the blue jacket! I think you are right. Although I am in the club that is totally befuddled by the wearing of the baseball cap with said garment. I mean, it's not like he can have a 'Bad Hair Day'.
Anyway, just a reminder that the closing date for nominations for the WENTs is Midnight PST tomorrow. I know a few of you posted you were intending to do noms but still haven't posted them, so I really hope you'll get a chance to do them. And thanks so much to everyone who has put up such fantastic posts on this topic.
I still have a few to do myself, so I'm just going to finish off my 'Acting' noms here.
Best Overall Display of Angst: "I put my blood into this." Michael in the SHU in 'J-Cat'.

Best Tender Smile: Yes, it has to be, "Happy Birthday." *sigh*
![[image]](http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l216/deadbeat_nymph/screencaps/Prison0146.jpg)
Best Past Hotness Discovered Only Recently: This category was actually invented soley for this reason and to ensure that this performance got its own award. It is of course 'The Hour'. Hotness on a frankly immeasurable scale.

Finally, just a heads up that PBOnline have posted the HQ pics of the promo shots for Ep 17 (including HQ gun waving ).

I only really have one nomination that hasn't been posted here yet (I think). I am a bad Prettyphile
Anyway, Best Total Sweetheart Moment - Wentworth talking about his favourite book in the Australian radio interview (towards the end of minute 3) - it was posted on youtube on Dec 31, so still counts as 2006, I hope?
edit: found some more time for my favourite pastime - so here are some more nominations.
Best Past Hotness Discovered Only Recently - seen as I was only converted some three weeks ago and have not got my hands on The Hour yet, I'll have to nominate The Human Stain.
Quote:
Best Tears epi 1x03 - the infirmary scene sans 2 toes
Quote:
Best Moment of Unresolved Sexual Tension definitely epi 1x07
Quote:
I refuse to nominate any fashion crises, seen as I am a serious fashion crisis myself - and I find OLP's style ineptness adorable

My final batch of nominations for the WENTs. I’ve spent way too much time on this. My husband thinks I’ve left home, but it's been such fun.
Best Magnanimity in the Face of Utter Idiocy The Ellen Degeneres Show - 4.27.06 All those rabid women and Ellen screaming in his face.
Best Implicit Sauciness Fox Atlanta Interview - 11.06.06 ‘Lust!’ The look on Brett Martin’s face is priceless!
Best General Havoc Infliction Upon The Unsuspecting Females of the World I want to say the “I’m not gay” article, but wasn’t that published in January? The link no longer works, but I have it documented as 4th January. Anyway, I’ll go with: The First Appearance of Mariana, Emmys - 8.27.06
![[image]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v110/DianeJ/EmmysArrivals01-27.jpg)
Best Heart Wrench In A Real Life Role Jay Leno Interview- 11.21.05 (No longer on YouTube, so a pic will have to suffice) “It was a long, slow crawl. I had something like 500 auditions, and if you look at my résumé you’ll see maybe 10 or 12 credits, so I’ve been told ‘no’ an awful lot.”
![[image]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v110/DianeJ/LenoInt.jpg)
Best Laughter Incitement In A Real Life Role Good Day LA - 5.15.06 The whole interaction with Amaury.
Best Physical Encounter in a Real Life Role Wentstralia: Boxergirl, Fickwalker and the Moet
Best Hair Moment
![[image]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v110/DianeJ/BestHairPic.jpg)
Most Gorgeous Total Ensemble - So hard. Formal? Casual? Formal? Casual? Ok - Cannes - 10.09.06 The arms settled it.

I always thought he had had his nose broken [from certain angles it looks like it had been - a bit Chris Isaak-ish] and it would also explain the 'breathing thing']. That said typed, he looks like that after having his nose broken [and presumably "fixed"]? I wonder how many insecure people in Hollyweird are "hatin'" him about now...

Thanks again to all for the additional WENTs noms!
Dinamite, do thank your husband for us for giving you up for all that time so that you could bring us those fantastic posts. All that hard work really showed and is greatly appreciated!
Anyway, my outstanding noms; this is the final batch.
Best False Modesty: “I’m just an average guy,” from the Jackie and Bender radio interview. When talking about the woman who couldn’t keep her hand still to take a picture of him with her mobile phone: “It was almost like she couldn’t handle the real me standing there. Which is a little bit strange, you know, I’m just an average guy.”
*ahem*
Dictionary definition of “average”: “Usual or ordinary in kind or character.” Synonyms: average, medium, mediocre, fair, middling, indifferent, tolerable.
Um, yeah, Went…not so much.
Best Innocent Flirtation: Not actually sure how ‘innocent’ this was, but I’ll go with (from the Z100 radio interview): “I’ll save you a place at my table.”
Best Act of Panty Combustion: Lord! So many options here it is impossible to choose, so I found myself going back to one of the original causes of my own personal panty combustion and going with the Leno interview. Such sweetness and hotness, both at the same time! *sigh* I cannot believe this is no longer on YouTube (I may have to do something about that), but rather than posting another image (as D already did that above), I remembered that Mel had a sliver of Leno at the end of her “8th World Wonder” vid, so I’m posting that again on this (admittedly flimsy) excuse, because I hadn’t seen it in the longest time, and I fucking love this vid!
Best General Havoc Infliction Upon the Unsuspecting Females of the World: I have to go with Dinamite here and nominate the presentation of Beigette at the Emmys last summer. Ever since this category was suggested, this has seemed to me the forerunner for ‘havoc infliction’. Indeed, I still carry the scars of that evening. A perfectly nice evening and some lovely Armani-wearing almost ruined by an unfortunate choice not to ‘go stag’. *grumble* However, unlike Dinamite, I’m going to forego the visuals. I. Just. Can’t. Do it.
Best Heart Wrench in a Real Life Role: Dinamite's nom above kind of has me re-thinking, but, sod it, this was my original thought - From the Jo Whiley radio interview:
Jo: Who would you write a letter to to say you’re sorry? Went: Probably my grandfather. Because he passed away when I was 10 or 11, and I can remember specifically, since I wasn’t allowed to watch a lot of TV at home, when I’d go to visit my grandparents, I would seize the opportunity to sit on the couch all day and watch cartoons. And I really wish that I’d spent more time with him when I could’ve.”
*sniff*
Best Laughter Incitement in a Real Life Role: This was a toss up between (a) “I’m the nicest guy in Hollywood…Anyone who says otherwise is a fucking liar,” (from EW magazine),
…and…
(b) (From the Z100 radio interview), in response to the Carolina The Fangirl DJ’s, “Wentworth, I would like to thank you for providing me with many, many a fantasy to put me to bed at night,” WM saying, “Woah! Woah! And you’re welcome.”
But I’m going to have to plump for (b). Because him oh-so-politely telling someone they’re welcome, in response to being thanked for being the source of their masturbatory fantasies, will have me giggling my ass off until my dying day.
Best Physical Encounter in a Real Life Role: It has to be fick and the champers!
Best Sweater in a Starring Role: The Argyle. Multiple pics already posted, so I won’t over-egg the pudding.
Oh, who am I kidding:

Best Capitalization Upon a Fashion Crisis: For me it has to involve the Bucket Hat. In the case of practically anyone else, the mere wearing of this item with, well, anything would have people rolling in the streets with laughter. It says much for WM’s spectacular qualities of charisma and dignity that he is able to wear this accessory at all and have people keep a straight face in his presence. For some reason the wearing of said item with Saturday Sweater at the Dallas Aquarium found a special place in my heart:

From the WM thread at TWoP, courtesy of PBlover, a link re actors who are not circumcised: "Miller mentioned being intact in an interview on a UK talkshow "Today with Des & Mel" in 2003 or 2004." Yeah, how does that topic come up in conversation? I assume it was from the topic of having been born in the UK?

Quote: I'd seen that but hadn't bothered posting it cos 1) I'm not sure that a discussion on this topic passes the 'no eye bleach' requirement, and 2) I'm not even sure the info isn't bogus.
I'd never heard of him being on this chat show, and I can't imagine what he would have been doing on "Today with Des and Mel" back then. Possibly discussing THS, but I wouldn't have thought they would have sent him onto a program like this to talk about a film like that ('TwD&M' deals only with fluff of the fluffiest variety), or that he even did any promotion like this for THS (I wouldn't have thought he was far enough up the cast list). Perhaps he was on to talk about 'Dinotopia', but that was 2002, and again, v. difficult to see him being booked on there to talk about that. As for him getting drawn into making some kind of declaration on this 'issue' - my mind frankly boggles! I just can't for a single second imagine it.
If I can get my shit together to do it, I'll email the show to see if he was ever even on it.

"So Wentworth, we read here that you were born right here in the UK, is that true??"
"Yes it is, I lived here for only a short time, but it holds a dear place in my heart."
"Yes, yes, we see. Which leads us to our main topic: your penis. Is it warm or cold?"
"Come again?"
"Is it wearing a sweater? A hoodie? Are you uncut?"
[stunned silence]
"Um...can't you ask me something else? Like if I'll sing?"

Hi my screen name is Niknak and I am a Wentaholic!
I am a longtime lurker who has just recently come out of hiding to say hello. I have laughed, yelled, swooned, and masturgazed along with you for a little over two months. I figured it was time to come out of the visitors pew, and let you know how great you all are.
I have risked being disowned by my family and friends to be here, but an addiction like Went is stronger than the thought of being alone with nothing but me and my laptop (as long as I have Internet access and can log on to this site for new info and pics).
As for circumcision, he could be or not. I doubt he would discuss this in a open forum. Regardless, I would take him (it) either way. Anything extra would be more to love!

Yes - I have been meaning to correct the posters who have included me in that! I was there when Went boarded the boat, then I left - and Fick and her buddy scored the Moet - but I did mention it the next day,(that I missed out), at the radio competition lockdown, to which Went apologised, laughed and commented he should have brought another bottle, bless his heart!
I was lucky enough to have two Wentcounters in as many days - including a Went-sandwich and multiple boob-leans (thanks Witchy )..
Needless to say had I been organised enough to post noms - they would have been right up there!
Thanks to all who have posted noms - they have given me many a laugh!
