Aw, now, m! I was rather enjoying nik's deliberately facetious disclaimers explaining when something is a joke for those birds-of-little-brain who don't 'geddit'. I'm just not sure your graphics (delightful though they are), have the same 'bite'. |

I concur! While my disclaimers may have been superfluous to those of us who actually have a sense of humor, I think they were beneficial to the fucktards who cannot seem to grasp that while we don't really know WM, it's always fun to speculate... Yes, we speculate because we have no other choice since we do not know him!!! Oops... was that a disclaimer or merely an explanation??? WHATEVER!
Quote:| I do tend to agree though that maybe we should all stop trying to explain ourselves at this point. Those people who don't 'geddit' are never going to, so fuck 'em. |

You mean figuratively, right? I don't think I could literally fuck someone too stupid to get my SOH... unless I was drunk, and they were really cute, and I was out of batteries, and even then...
Quote:But if someone's life is so empty that they need to fill it with posting about the wickedness of jokes beyond their powers of comprehension (or even simply not to their taste), then I guess we should be glad to be providing this valuable public service (of providing said jokes) for those with lives too devoid of meaning to be Doing Something Else Instead. |
|
Maichan, can you use your 'mad skillz' to create a PSA for this?
Quote:| Of course, when they are then not in character, but just themselves, on set or in public, they don't have that protection, and that's where things get emotionally draining for them. |

I smell an excuse for anti-social behavior here... of course, being an obnoxious extrovert, I could be wrong.
Quote:| But it has to be said that the way in which he apparently knew nothing about the planned SWC return did kind of make him look 'out of the loop' to say the least. If I were him, I would have been pissed, but then, that's me, and it's entirely possible he just overlooked it and saw it as unfortunate timing, where the SWC thing happened very quickly, and he was out of the country at the time. |

Does Matt Olmstead not have a long-distance calling plan that would include international calls? I know a few peeps who work at AT&T that can hook him up...
To me this was just poor form on behalf of TPTB. If the star of your show is off promoting said show, shouldn't that person be the first to know about any significant changes that could impact the way responds to questions about it? A phone call may have been more appropriate in this situation...
I know A LOT of people are thrilled to pieces about the return of MiSa, but I cannot see this return helping an already ailing dead plotline. Of course, I am going to watch, because though I may loathe and despise the obviously homosexual Wentworth Miller, I still wish to support any career endeaver he embarks upon, and obviously S4 of a ridiculously implausable program is what he is engulfed in at this time.
And, no, I will not explain the sarcasm in that parting comment for those who are to obtuse to find it on their own... Call it tough love!!

Hello, I'm a newbie and a great fan of Wentworth since I saw the first episode of Prison Break. He is so different from other actors in Hollywood!

To anyone who is interested. Wentworth and Dominic, or should I say Michael and Lincoln are up for nomination in TV Guides' Sexiest people on TV(American TV Guide). They are currently losing to the brothers on "Supernatural," and voting ends on Friday, April 4th. As good looking as the brothers of "Supernatural" are, I think that it would be a complete shame for them to win out over Michael and Lincoln. I am voting as many times as I can. Will you guys join me?
My bad, the address is: http://www.tvguide.com/special/sexieststars2008/poll2.aspx

Thanks for that JenJen.
A couple of other new Swedish interviews, with translations taken from posts by the lovely emmy at "Excommunicated".
Quote:Wentworth Miller – private and hot.
The "Prison Break" star does not care about his looks, he tells "Ekstra bladet" in an interview.
He is as sweet, delicious and charming in real life as he is in Prison Break. Now there, that's said!
Or more correctly, he is even more handsome, sweet, delicious and charming in real life.
His eyes are so intense and green that when he looks at you, you forget everything around you.
Good luck that I remembered the dictaphone, because there was not a word on my pad after I met the world's sexiest man at a hotel in Stockholm. When Wentworth Miller looks at you, you don't look away, you enjoy every second and hope that it will last forever.
He is careless about the fact that he is hot. In fact, he thinks it is a bit uninteresting.
"I don't care about my looks," says the actor.
And that is easy to say with that face.
He tells me that he does care so little about what he wears that he has to call Mr. Armani, as he calls Giorgio, when his wardrobe has to be renewed.
A smell of "Bamseline"
It is very hard to believe that it is true, because he looks nice as he sits there on the brown sofa, dressed in blue clothes.
There is nothing to say about his outfit, except his tie, that looks a bit rumpled.
But what does that matter, when he is so clean that he probably will smell like "Bamseline" if you smell his neck.
But that would have been inappropriate. I ask him instead why he absolutely has to be as private in real life as his character in Prison Break.
"It is only actors that cannot do anything who talk away about their private life. I did not become an actor because I wanted to be famous. I became an actor because I like acting," says the Bamseline–boy, and he becomes suddenly philosophical:
"I want to give you the entire frame, but I keep the painting for myself," he says with a cunning smile, spiced with his famous sexy and deep stare, that makes you wonder if he really is as deep as he is pretty.
Single or gay
It is probably a lot of female readers who hope to find the answer as to whether prince charming is single or gay, as a lot of evil rumours claim, or worse, none of them.
But Miller refuses to answer, and his smile suddenly becomes serious.
"There are a few things that are not meant for public discussion, and that is one of them," he says with his deep voice.
In return he claims that he has never been more happy, but as to if that is due to love, we can only speculate.
"How can I be anything other than happy when I get to do what I love the most?"
How was he?
On homepages all over the world, the name Wentworth Miller is listed next to the words 'pretty' and 'sexy', so he has to know that he is that.
But I have my doubts. How can he be so successful and pretty without that going to his head?
Miller takes his time to greet every single of the seven – exclusively female – journalists who are present in the small hotelroom in Stockholm.
He stares deep into our eyes, and repeats our names in his deep, masculine voice. And when I, in confusion over the man's presence, shake his hand one more time, he takes it and says, "We can greet each other again," with a small smile. During the entire interview the 185 cm high man maintains my gaze, and answers quitely and carefully all the questions that are not too private, and he takes time to take a photo with every single journalist.
And did I say that he was pretty? |

Source
And another one:
Quote:Now Wentworth will play an axe murderer
Wentworth Miller, 35, will play a serial killer, but is still enjoying the role as Michael in "Prison Break".
"The funniest actor I have worked with is Peter Stormare," he says when ”Metro” meets him.
Wentworth Miller is often described as a sexy Hollywood hunk that has tons of fans running after him. The star himself tries to stand with both feet on the ground.
"My parents are teachers and in the beginning they did not understand what I was doing. The only thing my mother knew was that I was unemployed and that I didn't get out of bed before after lunch," he tells me.
Wentworth was born in England, but grew up in the USA with his family. They are now proud of their son, even if he has to call and warn his mother before some episodes.
"She doesn't like watching when it seems like I am in pain," he says.
Wentworth's mom is not the only one who weekly watches the TV show about Michael, who is in prison to break out his brother. "Prison Break" has captured fans all over the world for over two years, and pressure around Wentworth is big.
The rumours that he has been dating his male actor colleague Luke McFarlane and his friend Amie Bice are well known, but Wentworth will not speak about his love life.
"It is private. I try not to bother about fake interviews."
Do they exist?
"Yes, they do. I have read about two dozen, but I don't have the energy to do something about it. Mostly, I feel sorry for my fans."
The fourth season of the TV show starts this fall. Wentworth remembers the first season.
"It was thanks to Peter Stormare that we had a fun time. He had a lot of practical jokes," he tells me.
But Wentworth dreams of doing other roles.
"I want to do a 'The Shining' and be allowed to run around with an axe and be evil." |
|
Source
I have to say, I really enjoyed these interviews. The journalists were enthusiastic and gave a good 'feel' of how he was during their meetings.
This made me laugh:
Quote:"I don't care about my looks," says the actor.
And that is easy to say with that face. |
|
Indeed. LOL.
These interviews are also obviously his real voice (which we know, apart from anything else, because we know he was in Stockholm giving them, face to face). I'm very pleased he's going with the 'no comment' regarding the private life questions; I think that's the best thing he can do at the moment.
Also, gotta say, this is an interesting thought process:
Quote:| "It is private. I try not to bother about fake interviews." |
|
The immediate linking of comments about his private life and "fake interviews" in his answer... I guess we can all speculate on what we think the "fake interviews" in question might be; I know I have my theories.

This is nice. Wait for me to go watch "Supernatural" to bed and then start trashing me when I can't defend myself. I am going to sue for slander. And with each post my list is getting longer.
Don't you people know Went might see this and his feelings might get hurt if he thinks I don't love him anymore? *shakes head* Seriously... Think about poor BB for once.
ETA: I so voted. For Nathan and Lucas Scott. For Mike and Linc, of course. But if the flock doesn't think it redeems me for my sins, I'll gladly go to a confession.

Thanks so much, JenJen! Say, does Wentworth mention anything new in that interview you linked? I stopped reading after "den smarte Hollywoodhunken"...
|
|
Here´s a translation from that article that I linked to, I dont think there is anything really new there though
Translation:
Now Miller wants to get out of prison The Prison Break-star yearns for new parts Through Prison Break Wentworth Miller has gone from student to superstar but still there is only a few persons that really knows something about him. Aftonbladet has met the most secretly sexsymbol in Hollywood.
Wentworth Miller, 35 is the smart Hollywoodhunk, he has a degree in english litterature from the high prestige Princeton-university in New Jersey, and when we ask him what he knows about Sweden he says: -I have been discussing the high level of immigrants from Irak with people here, what it means for society and how Sweden is changing.
Dont prefer to swarm But Wentworth is also the secretly hunk Its not common that he talks about himself as a private person and he is rarely seen in the glamour of Hollywood Around the american girl-favourite it has also for a long time been a lot of persistent rumours about him being homosexual, something he has denied. When Aftonbladet meets him he explains why: Celebrities that is busy with selling out their private lifes are only looking for attention or wants people to buy tickets to their latest movie. Or they believe that their careers isnt worth anything and they talk about their divorces or miscarriages instead. - I have never been interested in the "Hollywood-life". That was not the reason why I started with this, and the people that only looks for the glamour and celebrityness is probably out on thin ice, he says. Is that why you are so concealed with your private life? -I never talk about that, some things is not everyone´s business I think: politics, religion, who I sleep with, familybusiness... Wentworth Miller calls the success-serie "Prison Break" the best thing that has ever happened to him and his carrier - but, in comparance to his colleagues that has not yet given him any parts in movies. -People seems to think that I dont get any offers. I do, but in those offers I have either been to prison or is supposed to. Or I carry weapons, have a tattoo, makes origami or are part of a conspiracy.
Start over from the beginning -Thats the dangerous thing with being in a tv-serie to long, people starts to look at you as the character you play in there. I think I have lots of sides in me that I havent been able to show yet. Do you know what you wanna do after Prison Break? -Something completely different. It will be like starting over from the beginning, you have to re-build you credibility as an actor again. - I rather prefer to do a movie with a scene with Philip Seymour Hoffman than "Prison Break - The musical" he says and laughs. This is Wentworth Millers first visit in Sweden. When Aftonbladet meets him at Berns hotel in Stockhom he is irreproachable dressed in a shirt and a tie. Around his left wrist he carries a red bracelet that could be the classic kabbala-bracelet that a lot of his colleagues in Hollywood has been seen wearing.
Last season Tonight the other part of season 3 is beginning in TV3. And it is also decided that there will be a fourth season - that according to the leadrole-character could be the last one -I have heard rumours that it might be so. I get the sense that this is the end now. Michael cant go in and out of prison so many more times now. And I dont think there is any happy end, however you might do it, says Wentworth.
Thanks to Monk

And as personally I would obviously not even consider for a single second being tempted by the Dark Side (AJ Whoredom notwithstanding), I am just enjoying the Happy Place inspired by this particular piece of loveliness (for which, thank you niknak), which I believe would be something akin to 'Comfort' for us Brits. The thought of Went all smelling of fresh laundry (particularly whilst wearing his Stern!Face) is just... *swoooooon*

Um, I'm not sure about the rest of the parish, but I do not see being stuck in a locker w/ OLP as a consequence of any kind. I see that as being a reward for being a good parishioner.
Maichan, your impenitence is duly noted. When you get to the pearly gates of Heaven, Wentworth will be there waiting to smite you personally... Wait, is that a consequence??

Let's see. I blasphemed and then got whipped by OLP, got called a "bad girl" by OLP and got locked up in a tiny locker with OLP. You know what? I don't care what you're gonna call it, ME LIKES!

I think it's great that he's taken this stance for the time being. As discussed many months ago, he's clearly between a rock and a hard place.
(Um... I meant that with only one entendre, I swear! *bites tongue to hold in snickers*)
I do appreciate his regret over the fake interviews. Whichever interviews are the fake ones, clearly they've created some consternation among his fans.

As everyone knows who has perused the project website properly, there is a long list of people who have been responsible for pulling together this project. Many people on that list worked very hard, and I would certainly like to thank those people for all that they've done, and continue to do.
However, I'm just going to say this right here, because I know that she is way too classy to take any kind of credit for herself but... you see this absolutely gorgeous, extremely professional website? That is all down to maichan. Her skills have taken this project to a whole other level it never could have reached without her, and I am priviledged to have been working with her on it. (I'm also guessing that the hosting for this site is not paid for by the Magical Internet Fairy.) It should also be noted that creating this website was by no means the extent of her enormous contribution to this project, but it is a striking one, which is why I'm mentioning it particularly.

I know. And isn't the idea of someone creating fake quotes shocking! I mean, who would do something so ridiculous and reprehensible as to completely make up something someone had never actually said, and call it a 'quote'? Went, I feel you, I really do. (Although unfortunately not in 'that' way.)
And with thanks to amafan at IMDb, an Israeli interview. (Translation thanks to adi at "Excommunicated").
And this interview has added interest if you read it knowing that the interviewer was a man...
Quote:How I cracked Wentworth
With courage and coolness our reporter Adam Sror went to have a top meeting with Wentworth Miller, the star of "Prison Break". It ended with a courageous friendship. The night before the interview I couldn't sleep. Not because of the excitement of seeing Wentworth Miller one on one - but because of a rain of phone calls from friends, female and male fans, because that's how it is when you go to interview a star.
It's not easy at all to meet this perfect man - 1.86 meters (a cm more than me), trimmed hair (he cuts his hair every two weeks), green eyes ("It's not true that I have one brown eye and one green", he opens his eyes wide so I can see).
I come in and he's just finishing another make up touch-up.
"I've learned to transform myself into an object," he says. "My body is a body, like the camera is a camera". An interesting analogy, without a doubt.
My goal in this short time - 15 minutes of fame - is to make Miller come out of the Scofield tough shell.
"Up until a week ago I hadn't seen a single episode," I confess. For the second time in a minute and a half, his green eyes open wide. "But since then I've been on a crazy 'Prison Break' marathon and now I'm hooked". And that's when it happens: he smiles a melting smile, which is rare to see on the show.
I raise the issue of beauty, or better yet I ask him bluntly: "How do you manage to live with yourself and with all that beauty?" Great, I managed to embarrass him. Wentworth turns red like Bellick's forehead after he's thrown a chicken leg at the Sona prison yard, starts mumbling something, laughs with a 1st grader's embarrassment who's been caught cheating in an exam, and then he gets a grip and shoots back some nonsense about the fact that he has no idea what the fuss is all about.
"It's not easy to know what to do with it, there's a good side and a bad side to it". Yeah, you can't go outside without getting drooled at, terrible.
I try to find physical *beep* on him - a sunken belly-button, zits on his shoulder - but he's perfect. Even the stain of sweat soaked on his grey shirt in the show wasn't made because of bad sweat-glands ("It's a spritz of water").
But don't see him like that, shy and embarrassed. Wentworth has dark sides as well. For instance, he says, "It's a little boring playing Michael compared to T-Bag. I'd like to play one of the bad guys."
I ask what his plans are for the rest of the visit, to throw a bone for the keenly interested girlfriends at home. He agrees to elaborate only retro-actively: "I ate Israeli food, like Ciziky". No, Michael, I correct him, Ciziky is a greek food, try again. "So I wiped Hummus", he sells me a tourist cliché.
With the food comes the appetite, but when my 15 minutes are over I realize a brave friendship won't come out of this. A joint picture as a bonus and we say goodbye. The following night, when I meet him at the "Yes" event, he passes by me and suddenly stops: "Hi, how are you?" I'm fine now. |
|
Interesting interview technique: to embarrass the hell out of your subject. LOL.
And, um, "I try to find physical *beep* on him - a sunken belly-button, zits on his shoulder..." WTF? Was he interviewing Went while he was half-naked? ![[image] [image]](http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1012/1395700792_a9b8b172ec_o.gif)
I did enjoy this though:
Quote:| ...shoots back some nonsense about the fact that he has no idea what the fuss is all about. |
|
LOL! I love it when reporters call him out on that.
And this is interesting too:
Quote:| "I've learned to transform myself into an object," he says. "My body is a body, like the camera is a camera". |
|
I'm assuming he's getting at the idea of using his body as a tool. Well, you gotta use the gifts God gave you.
Anyway, good to know Went is - as we'd all suspected - "perfect" from the POV of a disinterested third party.
