Quote: Quote:SKY One has a one-hour special behind the scenes programme for the kickstart of S3“Prison Break: Access to all areas” scheduled for Sunday 23 Sept at 10pm. Can some tech-savvy goodness in the UK tape it? I only have the stupid Virgin Media at home now . Many thanks in advance~ |
|
Aw, crap! Does any one of the UK girls actually get Sky and will be able to record this? I seem to remember that most people were now locked out of "PB" on TV in the UK due to the change to Sky. |
|
I only have .. .. Virgin Media but I'll (hopefully) get my daughter to tape it for us. I'll tell her that Mom will be ex-communicated if she doesn't.
Just went out and risked life and limb on our local ring road to get this.
ETA: *waves at WG over the pond* Still get your petsitter to do it if she can, just in case.

Is it just me who is wondering about that quote? It seems he is using someone for Sex, doesn't he?
In any case it is a strange answer!

Not really a strange answer. It just means that at the moment either things are going slowly to see how it pans out or just enjoying each other's company [not necessarily sexual in nature] when they can.

Not even remotely a strange answer. I've said I'm seeing someone, "it's nothing serious" many times, and have heard the same from others.
A 'not serious' relationship does NOT equal "using someone for sex". It means fun and companionship but no impending wedding bells/moving in together, or necessarily moving in that direction.
Also, can we please all remember this is an old interview, from the end of last year, and the comments need to be taken in that context.
Thanks so much to all the fabulous UK girls who've offered to record that special on Sky. If everyone could do their thing, then I'm sure one of you lovely tech goddesses will get it for us (it better have some good stuff).

Oh, man, that WHO interview is fantastic! He was so candid and thoughtful. This is exactly what I've been wanting! Thank you, Baby Boy!
There are so many things I'd like to respond to, but I'd basically have to copy the entire interview and punctuate each line with my assent or praise. However,
Quote:| They aren’t there to teach your children the lessons that you haven’t bothered to teach them at home yourself. |
|
Fucking WORD!
And I'm delighted to hear him elaborate about his project. There's nothing really surprising about what he said, although I am relieved that he confirmed that it isn't an actual vampire story. I wish I could talk with him about it - it's very interesting, and I think it has a lot of potential, but I do have some concerns. Or questions, perhaps, more than concerns. The sexual politics of it are fraught with compelling and concerning complexities, and, just, yeah. I really wish I could engage with him on it.
With regards to the premiere, I had mixed feelings about it. However, overall I was pleased, and I think it bodes well for this season. I'm much more pleased by this one than with the S2 premiere, and I'm happy to see that this season will, apparently, be pulled back into focus. Also, I like the aesthetic of this season, the darkness seething beneath its festive façade.
Oh, and the MiMa is amazing; its intensity is overwhelming. The UST is palpable. Theirs is definitely the relationship I'm most interested in this season, although I do miss Sucre. It's funny; a year ago I never would have thought I could be anything but a M/L shipper, but I'm on board the MiMa train now. Went and Fichtner are just so good that they've convinced me. Bring it on!

I really questioning whether the WHO interview is a oldie cause even though Went says this
Quote:| I think people, myself included, or myself especially, need time to gather your thoughts to process what is happening to you, especially since my life has changed in many ways so dramatically over the last year and a half. It’s a lot to process. |
|
he also says this
Quote:| There’s a billboard in Korea, apparently, where they’re using my image to advertise tests for prostate cancer for a Korean hospital, and they’ve just picked a random photo from some shoot for GQ I did a couple of years ago and without my permission are using me to push their particular cause |
|
I'm thinking it's recent. I don't really understand how the media works but I really don't think they would sit on this for half a year especially considering it's from an Aussie source, they could have used it to promote the second season which aired sometime in Feb. My musings only of course, and by no way meaning to discredit you Mink

Regarding the Korean billboard, it was actually Chinese and it was first reported back in November of last year.
I remember Wentworth mentioning the "Korean" billboard when he was on the Kyle and Jackie O. show in January, so I'm also inclined to believe this interview was constructed from old material.

Its not about the Korean billboard I was referring to, its where he says
Quote:| GQ I did a couple of years ago |
|
that I was referring to. My bad for not pointing that out properly. I still think that it is quite recent. The Kyle and Jackie O show was recorded while he was in Aus in December and aired in January. If this article was part of press he did while in Aus, it wouldn't have been two years as he says. JMO

I went back to check what he said on the Kyle and Jackie O. show, and it was "a photoshoot I did for GQ last year." It could mean something or it could just be semantics
Also, it isn't that uncommon for "new" interviews to repurpose older quotes so take it with a grain of salt.

I don't know maichan it's just that with this article it seems that it's more candid, it flows. It doesn't seem to be a rehash of old quotes mixed together.
I haven't yet weighed in on the whole sexuality issue cause I've been waiting for Went to speak, and this article does it for me regardless of when it occurred. It confirmed what I have thought all along. Went would not lie, not pathologically. If he was gay, he's a smart boy and can dodge a yes/no answer and still make his answer credible. Australian Associated Press is a credible source, basically printing what comes out of the horse's mouth, so when they printed the "No I'm not gay" quote, I believe he said it. Plus I think Went is all about integrity to himself foremost and I just don't think that that amount of lying regardless whether he had to because of contract agreements yada yada, would sit well with him. I don't think that he would dig that big of a ditch for himself, knowing that he would lose some credibilty and admiration from his fans and I consider he takes his fans very seriously. He is the one celebrity (actor) that comes across as genuine that's why he's the only one that has propelled me to think, blog about him and write to him.
This quote pretty much summed it up for me that he is straight.
Quote:You’ve admitted that you’ve made up answers in interviews. Only once or twice. It was about things that didn’t particularly matter like, “Who’s my favourite designer” or “What cologne do I prefer” and it just makes me laugh that it’s assumed because I’m an actor on a TV show that I have opinions about these things and that my opinions are worth listening to. |

The only thing missing from this particular scene was Michael turning to Linc and asking, "Are you fucking kidding me?" My heart nearly broke for him in that instant, and that was the moment I fell in love with the show all over again.
Quote:| She said she watches "PB" with her friend, and whenever they see those scenes, they both yell at the TV, "No! Not the face!" I'm pretty much doing that just not out loud. |
|
I can't even watch it! I have to fast forward through it. It hurts me as much as it hurts Michael.

If you mean "only you" as in you + the rest of the females (and quite a few of the men, no doubt) watching "PB", then yes, only you. |

While I didn't get tickets, he knew that at any moment, I could still jump out of the crowd, rush the stage and pounce on him b/c every single thing they've ever said about me is true. I am a crazy psycho perverted sex-crazed stalker obsessed with Went and I'm out for blood. Be afraid; be very, very afraid. |
|
Well, he should at least appreciate that he has a crazy, psycho, perverted, sex-crazed stalker. BTW, I don't think it's blood you're out for...
Thanks so much Krissie for that print article. While I am refraining from anymore speculation on who Went dates, it was a breath of fresh air to see Went given the opportunity to expand on his thoughts. love him, Love Him, LOVE HIM!
Have I mentioned that I love this man???

I think he simply likes it! So many times he said he believed he is the same normal man he used to be. And it concerns all aspects of his life including clothing. He seems to me the person who does not follow the fashion. Frankly speaking I like all his plaid shirts and I'm glad he's not fashion victim. Would you like him to look like e.g. David Beckam

If only he had shaved that day. I do like to see Went fresh and ready to go. Although the unshaven look may be for Michael Scofield's look inside the prison. I don't like to think how else a razor would be used inside SONA.

They didn't sit on it for half a year. The shortened version of this interview was originally posted back at the beginning of the year, around the time of WM's Australia visit (or just after). That's why some of the parts of answers are word for word familiar (such as the bit about finding the fake MySpace pages "disturbing", which was originally printed, but without the extended explanation as to why).
As far as I can tell, they originally printed a much shortened version (not remotely unusual), and now - presumably due to the imminent airing of S3 - have blessed us with the whole thing.
Quote:| I don't know maichan it's just that with this article it seems that it's more candid, it flows. It doesn't seem to be a rehash of old quotes mixed together. |
|
It's not a rehash of old quotes. It's quite obviously a conversation, with one question flowing into another. But as I've said, originally they posted parts of his answers; here we have the complete and unexpurgated version of the conversation. Which is lovely.
Quote:By the way, can any Prettyphile tell me where the season 3 filming site is? I mean that real detension center, not the studio. I must have read it in some fan site, but my memory is not with me right now... ![[image] [image]](http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1120/1395701256_a3a75b81b7_o.gif) |

Not sure if this is the info you're after, but if you mean the building being used for 'Sona', it's some kind of old factory (an abandoned meat packing plant I think) in Fortworth, Texas.
Interior scenes being filmed at a film studio in Dallas.

Welcome, shanti, but I hate to say it, but if you don't like to read comments on WM's clothes, you've come to the wrong place. The Church has a long and distinguished history of taking Went to task on his fashion faux pas, and that won't be changing any time soon. It's all in fun you know.
In this particular instance, I'm with evelyn. Sexy black sweater = YES! Slightly crumpled check shirt = Ehhh...not so much. But, you know, still Went.
And of course thank you so much to Dinamite, Ringand Unkut for the lovely new pics. I hope we get some of the words that went along with these soon (and that they're not all, "So you have to ask yourself, exactly how far across the line can a good man go before you can no longer call him good." ) That said, I'm delighted to see all this continuing 'out and about'-ness. Whatever it was that changed his mind about the hiding and reluctance to appear in public, I know we all couldn't be happier.
ETA: I totally take it back about the checked shirt. I just noticed it doesn't have buttons, it has poppers! Poppers! That gives me some fantastic mental images that are just going to keep me happy for a while! So yeah, this shirt can stay.
